I'll play more of both of these before working further down the list. Or at least, having a character who can react quickly does a lot to mitigate my poor planning. I also tried the high-range sword, but it became pretty apparent that speed is king in this game. If there are tradeoffs, I haven't found them yet.

During my session, I got access to the whip, and it seems across the board better than the default sword. Super House of Dead Ninjas is a vastly different game (really? Ninjas aren't like big rigs?) but it's also pretty fun and challenging. Though it's way easier to get the trailer un-stuck in real life. I've driven a few U-Hauls in my day, so I can appreciate the comparison to real life heavy trucks. Plus, my HOTAS is calling me to spend more time with it. I'd also really like to see what this is like with a wheel, but I don't exactly have the space for that. I've heard that there is native Oculus Rift support, so I'm definitely giving that a shot. It's a completely different feeling from other driving games. ETS2 has a real weight and feel to the trucks (even though the in-cabin engine noise is way too low) and it surprised me just how much of an impact things like taking an exit ramp or passing another vehicle can have. I'm not sure how long I'll stick with either, but I can attest that these are quality.

Tried out Euro Truck Simulator and House of Dead Ninjas for about an hour each.
